Greetings and Welcome to Vegemight!

If you are reading this application you are obviously considering applying for Vegemight. Thank you for your interest. Below are some frequently asked questions about us, please make sure you read and understand before progressing to fill out and application.

What kind of a Guild is Vegemight?

If you were to define us in a single sentence, it might read something like this “We are a casual raiding guild aimed at mature adult players”. We are a family oriented guild that aims to have fun.

What does that mean? It means that we first and foremost treat each other, and other players with respect. We are open, honest and friendly. We don’t have a lot of time for people that are abusive, immature, arrogant, loot obsessed, blame friendly or those that cause grief for others.

If you are someone that works to removes stress and aggravation from tense situations, Vegemight is for you.

If you are someone that likes to add to everyone’s stress level…..your time at Vegemight wouldn’t have worked out anyway and it’s probably not worth continuing to read this application form. We wish you well.

Do you have restrictions on Toons, Alt’s or Spec’s?

Nope. Not at all. Play the class you enjoy and the spec you enjoy. Simple as that. Your alts are more than welcome to join as well….in fact….all of Vegemights officers have an alt or two in the guild (or three…or four)!

Understand though we are predominately level 80’s with limited playing time. You are more than welcome to ask for help in guild chat. However, please be aware that other people may have other things to do that to run your character through an instance.

Asking for help is fine and many times will be responded to. However complaining or simply expecting people to drop what they are doing to run you through and instance, etc is not. Vegemight is a friendly guild, but not a leveling service.

Please note that at this stage we are only accepting Applications from level 70 plus players. Friends are welcome to apply as well.

What are your basic rules?

Our rules can be found on our home page. In our application for you will be asked if you agree to be bound by them, so make sure you read and if you have any questions, ask!

Can I raid with Vegemight?

We welcome everyone that wants to raid. Of course, there are some rules and guild lines. Please understand these rules are in place for the enjoyment of all, as we all have real lives, real families and a life outside of WoW and have rearranged our lives to be available at the appointed raid time.

Please note, we are not a hardcore raiding guild. If you want to progress fast to endgame, Vegemight isn’t for you.

1) Some raiding groups are set up and having been going for…well…years. Don’t expect to be able to instantly join these groups as the “Regulars” will have priority in spots. That being said, where there is room due to an absence (or a kind regular giving up their space that week) the Raid Leader may invite others at their sole discretion. Obviously class and gear requirements are important.

2) Being a role model for other guildies in terms of behaviour.

3) We respect our Raid Leader. We agree to be available for summons 15 minutes before raiding time. We understand and accept that the Raid Leader has final say on the composition of the raid. While we are more than welcome to discuss tactics with the Raid Leader (before the raid) we respect the Raid Leaders authority to decided on tactics and approaches.

4) The recruit period lasts an absolute minimum of two weeks. However, this period will be extended to allow officers to get to know the new recruit and allow sufficient time for the recruit to show positive contribution to the guild. If invited to raid by a Raid Leader, a Recruit may raid. However. However, non-Recruits will have priority over Recruits in terms of Loot. Recruit “Need’s” however will have priority over non-Recruit “Greed”.

5) All raid participants must follow the raiding rules as set by the raid leader. If you are uncertain about any of these rules, just ask your raid leader.

6) Vegemight has gear requirements for Raiding. Feel free to ask about our gear requirements for your class and spec. We are not guild that offers “free rides for loot” to those that are not willing to ensure they are correctly geared and are playing to the best of their ability. We all are expected to pull our own weight and more. This also means Raiding Vegemights have spend the time outside the raid ensuring they have the potions, elixirs, food, reagents, oils, gold for repairs and all other items so we perform at maximum level possible.

7) If you are loot obsessed, Vegemight isn’t for you. Vegemight Raiders realise that the loot will be there again when the instance resets and excessive arguments over loot is not acceptable.

Omen, Deadly Boss Mod and Ventrilo are required for all raids. Also, posting DPS meters in raids will earn you a swift boot.

If you do want to Raid with us, please say so on your application. You will be asked to run a few heroics with an officer or two to give us a feel for your play style, and (equally as importantly) for you to get a feel for what it would be like to raid with us.

This was a answer to another recruits post and thought it might be a good idea to leave it here.

Vegemight loot drama's tend to be the exact opposite of ninja'ing. "Yes its an upgrade, but I couldn't possibly take it, I got something last week and it looks better on you" is more the drama we tend to have.

A few points

1) We now use Master Loot, just started doing that in the past month. Reason was not loot ninja as we always did pass and roll with no dramas (if you can believe it). We have just found ML allows raid to continue clearing trash while rolls happen, giving us another 30 minutes per night usually.

2) Loot is done on by roll offs on a a priority basis as below. If there are two or more people in same priority level they will roll, highest wins.

Priority #1 - Definite upgrades for Mains, Main Spec who have not got loot.
Priority #2 - Definite upgrades for Mains, Main Spec who have already got loot.
Priority #3 - Definite upgrades for Declared Dual Spec
Priority #4 - Upgrades for Recruits, Side grades for Mains, Main Spec
Priority #5 - Standard Greed (off spec, play with, etc). Raid capable alts will get priority over items that will sit in the bank.

3) We have several couples / families in the guild. I am sure you both would be happy.

I left because i did not progress well as the people allowed to raid were limited.

Being a RL mate/relly of Churbo certainly helps mate, but other than Abyss Glory and Big Dungeon Monday, a warcraft realms search shows in that you have also recently (within a few months) been in Legion of Champions, Angles of Darkness and Les Amies Noir.

We will keep an open mind, but expect a conversation from our recuitment officer around this concern.

yup fair enough questions aye. there was a bit of swapping n changing in the last month coz 1: Legion of Champions was a lvling guild (yes im a pretty fresh 80) 2:Les Amies Noir was my 1st 80 guild but the GM became inactive and our only progression consisted of running H Daily Dungeons from the time he went AWOL and 3:I had a pretty big fall out only yesterday with The Legion of Champions. If Churbro hasnt told you already, he was watching over my back as i ran Ony 25 for the 1st time with the guild and amazingly we downed her. And better yet the 2H sword dropped aswell, so i rolled a solid 91 and won-or so i thought. next thing i know the GM says "Pstar your dps is already good enough, you dont need this" and gives it to the next highest roller even though im only using 2H axe Edge of Ruin from H ToC.So after a lot of shaking the back of my chair from a pretty enraged Churbro and a lot of "WTF just happened there???" facials from me, he mentioned it might be a good time after all to give you guys a holla.
